Roadmap of future Gluster releases

Gluster provides Software Defined Storage for the cloud, and is gaining new functionality with every release.

Improvements and upcoming features

The Gluster project tries to release a major version every few months. Each version introduces many new features.  Recently added features include sub-directory mounts, improved volume state output, improvements to disperse volume performance and functionality, and many more.

  • Currently, the Gluster community is working on features for 4.2 release of Gluster.
  • 4.1 is the most current long term maintenance release.
  • Releases 3.12, and 4.1 are actively maintained, and were generally made available as of August 2017 and June 2018 respectively.
