A few of us will be attending the OpenStack Summit in Paris next week. OpenStack Storage continues to be an area of interest for GlusterFS and we will be investigating further integration possibilities of GlusterFS with the broad OpenStack ecosystem as we attend the summit.
As you might be aware, GlusterFS already is tightly integrated with Nova, Swift and Cinder. Another project that we have been actively working with is Manila – which intends to provide shared file system as a service for OpenStack. Recently Manila was accepted as an official program by the OpenStack Technical Committee and we are excited about working with the broader Manila team to integrate it as an official project in a subsequent release of OpenStack.
If you are interested in understanding more about how GlusterFS works in OpenStack, do drop by to these vBrownbag sessions:
As mentioned yesterday, we will also be hosting an event on 4th November to discuss in detail our integration with OpenStack and features in brand new GlusterFS 3.6. Do drop by to have some fun there!
