[Gluster-users] gluster local vs local = gluster x4 slower

For small-block sized i/o, write-behind should've helped since it
acknowledges writes from application even before it has got acks from server
(and writing in background after it does ack to application), thereby
reducing the latency of a single write call.

@Jeremy, can you perform dd test writing to gluster mount point, with
write-behind as the only performance translator? Can you post the results
for both the cases - with and without write-behind (the results posted by
you earlier was for tar and the configuration also involves other
performance translators - read-ahead and io-cache)? Also, if the performance
is still bad, for debugging we need trace translator to be loaded above and
below writebehind and rerun the tests (loading trace translator has
performance penalties since it logs every operation passes through it).
